Our apprenticeship recruitment process

Our rigorous recruitment process is designed to really bring out the best in people – We are proud that 90% of the apprentices that have started our scheme have been recruited by us.

We are firm believers that when recruiting apprentices, the standard 1-2-1 interview isn't the most effective way to see the full potential of the candidate, that's why we decided to devise an apprenticeship assessment day.

The ITP offer a number of recruitment solutions to fit your business needs.

Basic

  • The ITP will work with you to create a job description

  • Advertise the position on the National Apprenticeship Service website, on our website and across multiple job boards

  • Sift the initial applications

  • Send applications over to you for screening.

All of the above plus either a Virtual or Face to Face Assessment Centre.

At our assessment centres, the apprentices will complete a number of assessments and take part in group activities. The candidates will then be invited to give a presentation about themselves and take part in an interview in the afternoon.

You should advise us who you wish to employ and give us feedback on anyone who is not suitable so we can pass that on to the applicants to help them for the future. ITP will then put the selected candidate in direct contact with you for you to agree contractual arrangements.
