About this award

This award was established in memory of Christopher, who sadly passed away.

He worked in telecoms for his whole career, starting as an apprentice himself in 1964 and working his way up in BT and other companies, as well as starting his own business.

Christopher was passionate about the industry, about technology, and about apprenticeships.

Now, in Christopher’s honour, this award will recognise those who demonstrate technical excellence within their field.

The Christopher Mills Awards is open to all apprentices, and those who have graduated within the last year. If you have already applied for the ITP Apprentice of the Year Award, we will be going through your applications to see if you also meet the criteria for the award – if you do, we will let you know.
