Apprentice Business Development Manager
Our client is recruiting for an Apprentice Business Development Manager to join their team in Essex.

Founded in 1999 by two brothers, both having 10+ years in the industry, they saw some potential. Having knowledge on document solutions, data cabling, security and telecom systems, they saw a gap in the market to unite all of these technologies that are the backbone of any business.
Today, this family run business has grown organically through glowing customer referrals as well as through the acquisition of 10 different companies.
They are local to everyone. Based in Epping Essex, Moorgate, London, Kent and Sheffield and with engineers nationwide, they are able to respond quickly to all service calls.
Job Title: Apprentice Business Development Manager
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 IT Technical Sales
Apprenticeship Duration: Approx. 12 – 15 months
Location: Essex, CM16
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.30pm
Salary: £12,000 per annum + Commission
Role and Responsibilities
The Apprentice BDM’s will contact a range of existing and prospective clients to set appointments for our sales team. Using our proven formula, the Apprentice BDM’s will work within defined industry sectors to introduce our market leading range of solutions.
The successful candidates will call businesses to establish the correct contact for their managed print requirements and then set an appointment for the sales team to sit a meeting to fully introduce our services and start the sales cycle.
We are not asking Apprentice BDMs to sell on the phone, just introduce the concept of what we offer and set an appointment for the sales team to sit.
The core elements in this role are understanding the industry, new and existing clients using the phone and the ability to log and following up on notes from calls. You will understand your role and targets and at all times try reflecting the company’s values and expectations.
A comprehensive training scheme is included in this role which includes segments from worldwide brands such as Canon, Epson and Konica. This is a great opportunity to start a career in sales with a clear pathway into a full sales role.
The applicants also have access to an attractive bonus scheme whereas they are paid a bonus for sales completed from their appointments set.
