The Position
Job Title: Apprentice Desk Based Account Manager
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 IT Technical Sales
Apprenticeship Duration: Approx. 12 months
Location: Stonehouse, GL10
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 17.00pm
Salary: £14,000 per annum plus generous commission

Role and Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the role is account management of existing customers to ensure contract renewals and increase their revenue spend with the company selling a wide range of products and services.

You will be dealing with website enquiries and leads that come via the website chat system, email or phone. To then upsell products and services to these customers and provide quotations where required.

You will take part in campaigns to include outbound calling of potential new clients.

You will be working with the field-based sales team to generate and close higher value sales.

Key responsibilities:
Account Management of existing customers and developing the accounts.
Dealing with Website chat requests.
Dealing with Website email and phone calls.
Preparation of quotes & chasing them up and closing the sale.
Processing of orders and despatch of electronic licences and hardware.
Prospect management and sales reporting.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent team player.
Genuine interest in IT or Communications.
Previous customer service experience.
Clear and polite telephone manner.
Self-management of activities and work load and ability to prioritise work.
