The Position
Job Title: Apprentice Field Engineer
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Information Communication Technician
Apprenticeship Duration: Approx. 18 months
Location: Solihull, B92
Working Hours: As this is a field-based role with customers all over the country there is an expectation to be on site for no later than 8.30am. Subject to location you will be picked up each day or meet with your lead engineer depending on logistics.
A minimum of 1 Saturday will be required per month which will be overtime
Salary: £12,000 per annum

Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a hardworking and proactive candidate who would initially be involved in the installation of copper (Cat5 & above) structured cabling. This may also include AV cabling. You would be taught how to correctly install cables throughout existing and new developments all within the British & EU standards. As you progress you will learn how to install Fibre cables and assist with testing and signing off all cabling (FLUKE TESTED) You will be shown how to terminate CAT5 & above onto both modules and patch panels correctly installing into containment and tidied back, understand redundant cabling and remove if required

As we are also a telecommunication and IT provider within the education sector there will be the opportunity to learn how to install VOIP telephony, CCTV systems, WIFI and networking.'

All uniforms and tools will be provided.
Laptop provided at the relevant time
4 times salary life insurance for next of Kin
25 driving lessons and your first practical and theory test covered.
Company van provided once driving and is required.
