Our client is recruiting for an Apprentice Helpdesk Engineer to join their team in Hitchin Road, Shefford. SG17

The Company
This company is one of the important communication technologies in the digital world of Telecom and IT. The IP Helpdesk Telephony Engineer will build, repair and examine Unify Telephony systems, install and align IP Telephony devices connected to the telephony servers, work with and maintain network appliances and firewalls / routers and manage the helpdesk tickets within infrastructure.

Our Engineers are involved in the ongoing management of our customers’ systems, implementing new systems and training new engineers to work for those customers on projects.


The Position
Job Title: Apprentice Helpdesk Engineer
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Information Communication Technician
Apprenticeship Duration: 18 Months
Location: Hitchin Rd, Shefford SG17
Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30 to 5.00
Salary: £20,000pa


Role and Responsibilities
Generally, the job duties can change from day to day. However, the following are the standard job responsibilities performed by them:
To run the Helpdesk and accountability.
To design and resolve issues through study, network administration, installation, and customisation, along with network management support
To lead training onsite and offsite for customers on the Unify systems
To analyse, prioritise, and complete telephony work order assignments to meet SLA's.
To assist resellers and help with on site installations.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
Driving Licence – mandatory!
Good Communication and written skills
Handles well in a quick environment
Punctual
