Location Harrogate, HG2 Salary £14,000 - £16,000, depending on experience

The Position
Job Title: Apprentice Sales Executive
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 IT Technical Sales
Apprenticeship Duration: 12 – 15 months
Location: HG2 Harrogate
Working Hours 9-6 Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.
Salary: £14,000-£16,000 depending on experience


Role and Responsibilities:
As their new Sales Executive in their Broker team, you’ll be responding to incoming enquiries and proactively contacting previous and potential customers. Utilising all the information they hold on products, their bespoke systems, ongoing marketing campaigns, and all of their listing sites, you’ll be following up leads and enquiries to manage existing (and create your own) accounts, along with maintaining customer records and communication.

It would be an advantage if you were familiar with the satisfaction of getting a hard-won profitable sale but really your personality, rather than experience, is what is most important to them. They have a young team, in a busy office, and you’ll be working alongside Customer Service, Purchasing, and Marketing teams. You’ll also be in frequent contact with their Warehouse teams. Basically, you need to be a friendly, patient, industrious and an affable character! You don’t have to be the loudest person in the room: you do have to be conscientious, honest, have a sense of humour, and most importantly want to work really hard for yourself, your team and the company.

They provide a lot of training on the sales process, pricing, checking stock etc and we will get you up to speed on the way we work as a company. The Sales Managers have worked their way up through the company, educating themselves about the industry and how to sell: they want you to do well and are always available to assist, guide and listen. That said! They need a self-motivated and responsible person with confidence in your own abilities because you will be accountable for hitting a reasonable target each month, and responsible (along with the rest of your team) for reaching company targets.

They’ll consider anyone who takes personal pride in doing a demanding job well, knocking stuff out of parks, with a various number of blazing guns, that kind of thing…and will look forward to welcoming you to the company!

Answering incoming phone enquiries about stock pricing and availability
Communicating frequently with previous and potential customers
Undertake any offered training and education to familiarise yourself with our products and systems
Provide information and guidance (with the assistance of colleagues) to customers to close sales
Organise face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers
Liaising with other Techbuyer departments to ensure orders taken are in stock, tested, and shipped correctly
Maintaining our CRM in a timely manner!
Communicating with and giving feedback to colleagues
Attending industry roadshows
Developing and managing your own Sales figures every month
Maintaining good relationships with team colleagues and managers
