Job Title: Data Analyst Apprentice
Apprenticeship Course: Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship
Location: Peterborough, PE1
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 5.30pm
Salary: £12,000 per annum
Role and Responsibilities:
The role is going to involve pretty much every element, from helping to centralise all key data for systems to later investigating trend analysis to further help the business make good decisions.
The primary project is to centralise all client data for the new systems roll out. This is key to ensure all management reporting and systems function correctly.
Some of your responsibilities will be:
Using tools and techniques to analyse and visualise data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs, charts and reports
Using data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns
Organising and transforming information into comprehensible structure
Using data to predict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole
Performing statistical analysis of data
Preparing reports and presenting these to management or clients
Identifying and recommending new ways to save money by streamlining business processes
Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
Data Analysts need to possess strong analytical skills
Strong IT and mathematical skills
The ability to pay attention to detail when working with data to make accurate conclusions and predictions
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively share findings with shareholders
As understanding of data sources, data organisation and storage
Problem solving skills
Positive ‘can do’ attitude and be willing to learn and take direction.
