Our client is recruiting for a IT Technician Apprentice to join their team in ST6 Dalewood Road.

The Company
This company are an outsourced IT solutions company so at their core they manage all aspects of our clients IT, from faults, queries, issues, networking, custom software, data backup to printers / mobile devices, etc

The Position
Job Title: IT Technician Apprentice
Apprenticeship Course: Level 3 Information Communication Technician
Apprenticeship Duration: 18 Months
Location: ST5 Dalewood Road
Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm Out of hours work and occasional weekend work is part of the role. 37.5 hours per week.
Salary: Dependent on experience.£12,000 +

Role and Responsibilities:
Handle support calls & support tickets in an efficient & confident manner, being thoughtful of the issues & always having the client as their top priority.
Management & Configuration of Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Dropbox, NAS, Windows Servers.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
Set up devices with computers and necessary peripheral devices (routers, printers etc.)
Install and configure appropriate software and functions according to client's needs.
Networking knowledge, firewalls, routers, patch panels, switches, network cabling.
Provide orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
Organise and schedule upgrades and maintenance without deterring others from completing their work.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems (repair or replace parts, debugging etc.)
Identify computer or network equipment shortages and report back to the CEO.

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge:
Ability to be confident even when you feel out of your depth, no one in the tech industry knows everything but how you present yourself is critical. A very good telephone & in person manner is critical.
Genuine interest in technology, if you are into your tech, hardware, software, networking, etc anything can be learned. You just need to come into this role with a genuine willingness to learn.
To work as part of a team and provide point of contact with clients. Make and receive telephone calls to clients and prospects.
The confidence to regularly visit clients on-site. manage their own time / workload. Very good telephone manner.
Analytical skills, the ability to think first and then act.
Must be able to work alone and use initiative
