This apprenticeship prepares individuals to work across a wide range of sectors where organisations rely on digital tools, systems, and data-driven processes. Apprentices are typically embedded within operational teams, digital support functions, or change delivery roles, with opportunities to contribute both internally and alongside external partners or service providers.
The role focuses on improving productivity and streamlining processes through the use of automation, integration, and AI tools. Apprentices learn how to identify inefficiencies—such as manual tasks, duplicated data entry, and disconnected systems—and apply practical digital solutions that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.
Throughout the programme, apprentices develop hands-on skills in analysing workflows, selecting appropriate technologies, and building low- or no-code and AI-driven solutions. They work collaboratively with teams such as operations, customer support, and finance, gaining experience in understanding business needs and aligning digital improvements with organisational goals.
Apprentices are supported to take ownership of real tasks and projects, delivering measurable operational value while building confidence in problem-solving and decision-making. They also learn how to support user adoption and ensure that digital solutions are implemented safely, ethically, and in line with organisational policies.
By the end of the apprenticeship, individuals are equipped with the practical skills and experience needed to drive continuous improvement and support organisations in realising the benefits of AI, automation, and digital innovation.
