A systems administrator manages and maintains an organisation's computer systems, servers, networks, and software. This involves system maintenance, server administration, network management, security management, user support, backup and disaster recovery, documentation, monitoring and performance tuning, patch management, and compliance enforcement. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain computer systems, servers, and networks.

  • Experience in managing and maintaining server hardware and software, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with security best practices, including access controls, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently and effectively.

  • Experience in developing and implementing backup and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and continuity of operations.

  • Ability to maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

  • Strong communication skills to interact with users, colleagues, and vendors, and to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
